The Royal Collection I

It is a great honour to introduce you to the first volume of “The Royal Collection”

This is the beginning of a journey through history, and by hand, with centenary fabric designs. From the time of King Enrique IV of Castilla (Spain), through the extravagance of the “Borgia ́s” and “Medici” to the enrichment of the renaissance, the volume I of the Royal Collection is our initial step into the magnificence of one of the world ́s most important historic fabric collections. The translation of the designs from their original weaving materials to our very own linen composition has been one of the most important issues, along with the extremely difficult process of adapting the effects of long forgotten printing and weaving techniques to our own hand print processes.

It is, without a doubt, the most demanding project we have ever encountered in every aspect. As head editor of The Rosa Bernal Collection, I am very proud to present to our clients the first of the twenty volumes that will comprised The Royal Collection
